Digital Puppet uses a wood cross bar which has a Wii Remote inside. It has same traditional interface by using vertical or horizontal control of the bar. Pinch the bar to control the puppet turn left or right, and roll the bar to control it’s jaw and head.

Ps. I visited CMU Interative class once. There are a lot of intertesting projects. But I think this project is too easy for their students. Ha!

尼加州冒險樂園（California Adven-ture）遊玩的遊客，得到一個意外「驚喜」:布偶（Muppet）劇人物「香瓜博士」（Dr. Bunsen Honeydew）突然現身和大家「打招呼」。卡通造型人物在迪士尼樂園走來走去並不稀奇，但他們都是真人套在道具裡面，一看就很「假」。但週日出現的香瓜博士卻是如假包換的布偶本尊，騎著一輛類似風火輪（Segway）的「布偶活動實驗室」（Muppet Mobile Lab），後座載著小跟班Breaker踩著單車。

說他是布偶，香瓜博士並未被固定在舞台上，也看不出有人在幕後操縱，但他仍能和現場遊客有說有笑，難道他是「機器人」嗎？

透過電腦和無線通訊 迪士尼布偶騎segway 又能和人有說有笑 遊客大驚奇

香瓜博士的幕後「秘密」，是他身上裝有攝影機、麥克風、擴音機等，樂園控制中心的操作員和配音員透過電腦和無線通訊，「指示」香瓜博士做出各種回應。迪士尼目前仍未完全搞定，將繼續改進缺點，務求正式推出時達成效果。

The Muppet Mobile Lab is a theme park exhibit for Disney’s California Adventure. Part of Disney’s “Living Characters Initiative” project, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker are “brought to life” through the use of advanced Audio-Animatronic remote-control-puppeteering technology.
