“Wayang”Interactive Puppet project

Interactive Puppet Theater makes users control digital puppet on the screen using their own hands. The Silhouette Character has the strong self-projection and the symbolism.  
User can easily control puppet on the screen by wearing the prepared globes or color chips and putting his/her hands inside a small box with curtains just like the stage.
Using the theatrical expression from simplistic movement of the puppet that is made from computational codes, and the hands and the fingers that are one of the most intimate interfaces of human being, we can re-illuminate the artistic form, named puppet show in digital media.

encourages children to concentrate and engage more ‘Interactive Puppet Theater’ encourages children to concentrate and engage more with the story through physical action that is the right way of applying technology to the existing medium.

作者JaewookNYU Physical computing課程中製作一個可以透過與小孩子 互動的小劇場.在故事中透過小孩子呼出的風速.來引導故事情節發展.聰明的方法先找到劇本.在執行製作相關互動玩具.似乎幫互動玩具找到一條出路.

Faking human motion with ragdoll maxscript

藉由3DMAX  studio中3D character Plugin–”ragdoll”讓建立出來的虛擬偶可以更接近真實世界中碰撞(physics collision)的狀態.讓程式不斷碰撞偵測(collision detect)以及服裝模擬(cloth simulation).人虛擬空間的人物更真實.

The system uses maya, PIE (programmable input emulator), a midi-motion-cypture-server and several other tools.

簡單的運用雙搖桿當輸入裝置, 但似乎手部技術操作是在布袋戲中,無法被取代的重點,這也是Digital Puppet最困難克服的 一點
