Be the first to get your hands on the new generation Kinect for Windows sensor

Recently,  a lot of interaction projects base on Kinect. There is good news for developers. If you want to be a first users. You can join the Kinect programe. This program, which begins in November 2013, will provide developers with tools and a pre-release sensor as soon as possible so they can start building new applications before general availability in 2014.

The program fee will be US$399 (or local equivalent) and offers the following benefits:

  • Direct access to the Kinect for Windows engineering team via a private forum and exclusive webcasts
  • Early SDK access (alpha, beta, and any updates along the way to release)
  • Private access to all API and sample documentation
  • pre-release/alpha sensor
  • final, released sensor at launch

Applications must be completed by July 31, 2013, 9:00 A.M. (Pacific Time).

Hi Ellie,Firstly, congratulations on gteitng this far!I found out I got through to an assessment centre towards the end of January, it was held mid February and then about 5 days after the assessment centre I found out I had been successful so it certainly is a quick turnaround.Two very important tips are:1. Be prepared, definitely do your research, it will show.2. Be enthusiastic. One of Microsoft’s values is being passionate about technology and these are what Microsoft really look for.Good luck and do let me know what happens Holly.
