Li-Fi From The University of Edinburgh By Harald Haas & Philips LED By Royal Dutch Philips Electronics Ltd.

無線光通訊技術Light Fidelity (簡稱Li-Fi)由英國愛丁堡大學教授Harald Haas所命名研究,利用可見光通訊技術(Visible Light Communication,VLC)、紅外線或近紫外線光譜,無線高速傳輸數據資料,Harald Haas教授主要研究方向是無線光通信系統,混合光學無線和射頻通信,並在無線網絡干擾協調,Li-Fi技術具有高頻寬、節能、安全等優勢,希望所開發出的Li-Fi解決方案能成為智慧城市及建築不可或缺的一環。

荷蘭皇家飛利浦(Royal Philips NV)開發了LED室內定位照明系統,再法國大型量販店採用,燈泡中置入微型晶片(含GPS系統),每一個燈泡發送一個唯一識別碼 ,LED 開表示 1,關表示 0,使燈泡以極快的速度閃爍將數據轉換成編碼傳遞訊息,再利用手機上的鏡頭來定位,此技術可即時偵測顧客位置,再透過伺服器上的資料以光傳輸的無線網路來傳送顧客所需的商品資訊、位置和優惠訊息等。

 

讓逛大賣場的顧客不只是逛街購物,在購物之時能也能體驗更具有互動性及新體驗,帶來顧客的便利性服務,以後購物就更省時省力了。

Daniel Rozin with wooden mirrors

Although It’s a old project by Daniel Rozin. But I still feel it is one of the classical interactive art works.

Follow the video you can see the concept and  making process for this project.

Rozin is the Resident Artist and Associate Art Professor at ITP, Tisch School Of The Arts, NYU where he teaches such classes as: “Project Development Studio” and “Toy Design Workshop”. As developer, Rozin owns Smoothware Design, a software company that creates tools for the interactive art and multimedia authoring community.

QUMA Motion Capture Puppet

The QUMA (pronounced Cooma), from Japanese company SoftEther, works kind of like those 3D wooden mannequins that artists often pose when sketching the human body. Except that the QUMA connects to your PC over USB, and the majority of the puppets’ joints feature sensors that not only detect when they’ve been moved and adjusted, but also translate those movements to the character in your 3D software.

Japan-based SoftEther has developed a 3D motion-capture figure to create computer graphics and animations in 3D. Known as the QUMA, this human-like doll has a set of joints throughout its body, all of which are equipped with sensors and can be moved freely by the user. The QUMA motion capture puppet is ideal for designers and engineers to create 3D CG animation. Watch the video after the jump.

岩井俊雄和山葉YAMAHA合作的「TENORI-ON」,將互動聲音作品量產化

數位藝術和產業結合,藝術家岩井俊雄和任天堂共同出版的遊戲「Electroplankton」、和山葉YAMAHA公司出版的「TENORI-ON」,都是市場性、藝術性兼顧的開發例子。 Electroplankton是岩井接受任天堂的邀請,為其掌上形遊戲機DS開發的互動藝術遊戲作品,藉由和深海中微生物的互動,呈現不同的影像和音響;而TENORI-ON更是將互動性的聲音藝術作品進入量產化階段,經由碰觸螢幕上的256個LED觸鍵,TENORI-ON將依碰觸的位置、力道、長短,變化出極附摩登感的不同畫面和音樂,甚至可以經由連線、兩人線上互動。
