Interactive Puppet Display using openFrameworks and Unity 3D

This interactive puppet display was developed by the team at yoke.dk and was created for the frederica theatre in denmark. For the premiere of the Avenue Q puppet show at Fredericia Teater they have created an interactive Kinect-based installation with which people can control Trekkie – a beastly looking character from the show.

The installation was built using openFrameworks and Unity 3D with the ofxOpenNI add-on. One cool feature aside from how great everything looks is that no calibration pose was required in order to start tracking a users skeleton.
