Haptic & optical clone(Haptoclone) From SHINODA- Makino Lab on Youtube

Haptoclone是由篠田研究室 篠田 裕之(しのだ ひろゆき)教授帶領的團隊研發出的新技術,主要研究人五感中的觸覺,觸覺的傳達、行動的誘導、心理作用等等來進行探討,尤其人類、環境,如何檢測相互作用的狀態,透過觸覺感來提供,創造出一種「觸覺傳送」的體驗,Haptoclone主要是由Yoshikazu Furuyama & Seki Inoue研究員研究,篠田 裕之也鑽研了二維通信,透過電磁波傳遞信號和電力傳輸,未來有助於可穿戴計算和感應器在不同的材料嵌入使用。

想像一下,未來在使用 Skype時和某人初次見面,可以透過全息影像跟對方握手,或者和遠方朋友視訊時,能夠擁抱他的投影。


Haptoclone 由兩個箱子組成,將觸感與光學複製兩者給合,你可以把手伸進其中一個箱子,就能在另一個箱子裡投影出來,每個箱子內部有 4 道超音波陣列,釋放出超音波輻射壓,使你產生碰到東西的感覺,裝有實物的箱子裡有一台Kinect感應器,紀錄物體被碰到後產生的變化,再像鏡子一樣把變化投射到另一個箱子。

Yannick’s works mainly comes in the form of audiovisual performances, installations and stage design. His work is often in- situ and is strongly influenced by questions connected to architecture.

A music instrument called Marble Machine

Swedish musician Martin Molin has long had experience with esoteric instruments like the glockenspiel, traktofon, or Theremin, but he may have topped his musical prowess with the invention of his own new instrument: the Wintergatan Marble Machine, a hand-cranked music box loaded with instruments including a circuit of 2,000 cascading steel marbles. As the devices cycles it activates a vibraphone, bass, kick drum, cymbal and other instruments that play a score programmed into a 32 bar loop comprised of LEGO technic parts. The marbles are moved internally through the machine using funnels, pulleys, and tubes.

It’s a true MAKER soul~ check the making process of this musical instrument. Martin shows 7 prologues on the website. In the every step he cut the wood by himself. Amazing!

The Super Mario gaming project made by Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH) game Technology Center (GTC). The project is known as Unfolding The 8-Bit Era, an appropriate title given that it’s essentially a 360-degree panoramic variant of video game classics like Super Mario Bros. The world’s only cooperative 8-player, 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System capable of continuous, panoramic side-scrolling on that aforementioned 360-degree display, of course.
